Clown Workshop
18th and 19th of April in Berlin

With games, technical exercises and improvisations, we will train to find honesty, joy and spontaneity on stage.
We will as well work on concrete tools like timing, emotions, body shapes and audience connection to create comic, if not hilarious, situations.

For any performers or curious persons who want to use clown and physical theater techniques on stage.

About Sliding Scales

For a sliding scale to work it relies on the principles of truthfulness, respect for complexity, and accountability.
Teachers deserve to get paid and students deserve classes which recognize the multiple realities of economic access and privilege that exist.

The top price (160 Euros) reflects the true worth of the workshop, so that my needs as facilitator are covered. If you are able to pay for “wants” and spend little time worried about securing necessities in your life, you have economic privilege and power in our community. This price is for you.

A middle price (130 Euros) is for those who are able to meet their basic needs but have little-to-no expendable income. Paying for this class may qualify as a sacrifice but it would not create hardship.

A bottom price (100 Euros) is for those who struggle to meet basic needs and paying for this class would still be a significant hardship.

This short explanation is based on this article by Alexis J. Cunningfolk you are welcome to read if you wish to know more about sliding scales.
